Leona Ripple – President
I joined STEMout my first year knowing I love fun science things and enjoy working with kids. Our weekly meetings were so fun, and I got to know a lot of amazing people. I’m really looking forward to continue this year having an even better time. Outside of school, I enjoy finding good vegetarian restaurants in Boston, watching Netflix (most recent watch was Heartstopper S2!) and saying hi to as many dogs as possible.
Third-Year Biochemistry Major
Nick Scaperdas – Vice President
STEMout is one of my favorite clubs! I’ve been a part of it since my first year when everything was virtual and have been a part of it ever since. I’m looking forward to having a great time in the club in my last year here! In my free time I love cooking, going to the gym, and also doing the Smash Bros. Club! I can’t wait to meet you all and have another great semester here!
Fourth-Year Bioengineering Major
Maia Ziontz-Goodhue – Treasurer
I’ve been part of STEMout since my freshman year and have loved every second of it! I’ve had such a great time connecting with other members through our weekly meetings and volunteer events, and can’t wait for more fun times this year. Outside of school I spend my time dancing, hiking, baking, and working at an escape room here in Boston (come to RoomEscapers it’s great).

Third-Year Biopsychology Major
Rachel DiStefano – Volunteer Coordinator
I signed up for STEMout at the beginning of my first year, but I did not actually join until last year (don’t do that!) Our weekly meetings were so fun and I also loved volunteering and wanted to get more involved this year 🙂 I am currently on co-op, but outside of work I like to run, hangout with friends (or my dog), and spend time outside.
Third-Year Behavioral Neuroscience
Piper Shrout – Marketing Officer
I joined STEMout for the volunteering opportunity and chance to give back to the Boston community. In elementary school I always really enjoyed participating in these programs and wanted to give that experience to other kids. In my free time I like to hang out with friends and play sports.
Third-Year Criminal Justice and Political Science Major
Quincy Steidle – Secretary
I am interested in aerospace, and my favorite hobbies are baseball and surfing. I am away from Boston on co-op for the fall, but I love volunteering with STEMout and I’m excited to get back to it in the spring.
